FFL Shipping & Form 4

Buying a firearm online is 100% legal and honestly pretty simple — as long as it goes through a licensed dealer. Here's exactly how we do it.

The Process — FFL-to-FFL shipping

  1. You order. Pick your firearm, check out with your info and your receiving dealer (any licensed FFL near you).
  2. We verify. We confirm your dealer's federal firearms license with ATF before anything ships. No valid FFL, no shipment.
  3. We ship. Your gun goes dealer-to-dealer, tracked and insured. Some orders may take about 72 hours to ship (fulfillment lead time) after FFL verification; carrier transit after handoff is separate.
  4. You pick up. Visit your local dealer, pass NICS (or your state's equivalent), fill out ATF Form 4473, and take your gun home.

NFA / Suppressors — Form 4

  1. NFA items (suppressors, SBRs, transferable full-auto, etc.) transfer on an ATF Form 4 with a tax stamp. We file electronically (eForm 4) and handle the paperwork with you.
  2. Pickup in person at our Texas location once approved — NFA items don't transfer through remote dealers the way standard firearms do. We'll walk you through every step of the wait.

Fees

  • Your receiving FFL's transfer fee varies by dealer (typically $25–$75 per existing Lux docs). Ask them before you order.
  • Lux Arms transfer / Form 4 service fees are confirmed at transfer — call or text (832) 324-5486 for current amounts. We do not publish invented fee numbers here.
  • Compliance returns: 30% restocking fee if firearms are returned due to compliance issues (your responsibility to order based on your state's laws).
  • ATF tax stamp amounts are set by federal law, not by Lux Arms.

FAQ

  • Can you ship a gun straight to my house? No — and nobody legally can. All firearms ship dealer-to-dealer.
  • What can't you ship? We follow all federal, state, and local law. If it can't legally go to your state, we'll tell you straight.
  • How fast do you ship? Some orders may take about 72 hours to ship after we confirm details and FFL where required. Ask by text if you need a tighter window on a specific SKU.
